I have avoided celebrating the 30th and the 40th till now, so I plan to go from my 20s straight to the 50s.

WHAT's THE PLAN?
The Party
People talk about midlife crises, but instead I feel like I am reaching a real milestone in my life.
I am planning a pre-party Spa Day and an Evening Party in Surrey, UK, with all of you welcome, including kids.
See below for more information about what I have planned.
I am hoping that we can all have great fun together as always and make some new unforgettable memories.
Party Venue: "La Collina" at the Lythe Hill Hotel, Haslemere
The party will be held at "La Collina" in the voco® Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa in Haslemere, overlooking the South Downs.
The venue includes a private patio with seating area, so if the weather is kind to us, we will be able to recreate an Italian "al fresco" experience.
Haslemere is a 50 minute train journey from London Waterloo and a 50 minute drive away from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.
See below for accommodation info if you want to stay the night. The location is also the perfect setting in the Surrey Hills if you fancy a longer weekend away.
Party Theme: GREEN DECO
No party is a real party without a unique theme.
You've got it, flaunt it...in GREEN!
Go for a stylish, bold and geometric international style. Glam up and plan to make an impression.
Even if dressing up is just not your thing, as a bare minimum ensure you wear at least one GREEN visible item of clothing: this will be your essential 'green pass' for access to the party!
Party Food: Italian Pizza
"La Collina" is a Pizzeria Restaurant: after a welcome glass of Prosecco, their Italian wood-fired pizza oven will be serving up slice after slice for everyone to enjoy.
Hopefully this will be suitable for everyone, even for the fussiest of kids. However, if you are a "weir-dough" and do not like pizza, don't worry chicken goujons and buffet pasta salads will also be available.
Here is a sample of the drinks menu for purchase in the party room, until midnight (note: beers will be available in bottles only, as the venue does not have anything on tap.)
Italian inspired desserts will follow later in the evening.

I have lined up a a dynamic four-piece live band, that are guaranteed to create a whirlwind of excitement and party vibe for us.
Their seamlessly blend of smooth pop vocals, with a dash of rockin' guitars and a powerful rhythm section, will be sure to get the party going in full force for a full 2 hour session.

voco® Lythe Hill is an historic country house hotel, set in 22 acres of woodland on the slopes of the Surrey/Sussex Hills. The former farm house and outbuildings form a picturesque hamlet on the outskirts of the market town of Haslemere.
This is where the evening party will be held and therefore the recommended accommodation if want to stay the night after the party, or take the opportunity to turn the event into a weekend away.
The hotel features a Swimming Pool and Health Club as well as a Spa.

The dog friendly hotel is located a 5 minutes drive from Haslemere Railway train station.
We had 10 rooms allocated for the party on pre-sale, on first come first served bases, at a price of:

- £167 per night single occupancy incl. breakfast
- £219 per night for 2 adults + up to 2 children occupancy incl. breakfast
Unfortunately all these allocated discounted price rooms have sold out now.
